Use on peer site collection

Aug 23, 2012 at 5:04 PM

Hello, the web part works great on a top level site collection http://sitecollection.com or a subsite of the top level, but on a peer site collection like http://sitecollection/sites/peersitecollection if my image gallery is on peersitecollection the web part doesn't seem to be able to find it. Any thoughts on how I could update it?

ChrisC25\Andre_ars,

I am not sure, but i dont see why a site collection on different managed path will matter. Is the

Is the image library in one site collection and web part is on other?

I found the issue.

When the SR.API tries to define the SPList it's only passing the 'listName'.

Without defining the siteURL the Utility.GetSPList function sets the siteURL to '/'.

By passing the siteURL through to the GetSPList function (it's already over-loaded to handle the extra parameter) the webpart functions fine.

Jonoj,

You are correct, for web application that uses managed path with multiple site collection passing the URL to get SPSite object will fix the problem.
